Who was the contracting company?

Allegro is a trading platform that everyone in Poland probably knows. In the CEE region, it is the clear leader of the e-commerce sector. Since 1999, it has been constantly developing its services and conquering new foreign markets, responding to the diverse needs of consumers. It currently employs over 6,600 people. It is therefore a significant employer that understands how important an effective recruitment process is to acquire and retain talent in its team for the long term.

Recruiting Needs: What were recruiters and hiring managers looking for?

  • Increased effectiveness of pre-selection → invite only candidates who meet competency requirements to the interview stage.
  • Saving time for recruiters and leaders → more time to focus on key areas of their activity (core business).
Shortening the process time for candidates → faster filling of vacancies.
  • Building a realistic image of work and positive Candidate Experience → more aware and engaged candidates and reduced employee turnover resulting from the erroneous perception of work at Allegro in the CX area.

What did we propose?

A game that tests key competencies required for customer service positions, with accuracy that surpasses Assessment Center.

All situations were taken from the everyday lives of Allegro CX employees, which allows the game to build a realistic picture of work and examine candidates’ behavior in a context typical of this department.

We created the storyline, graphics and video together with Employee Value Proposition and Corporate Identity brand guidelines in mind; thanks to this, the game also fulfills an important Employer Branding function.

Full integration of the game with the Client’s ATS system.

Automated process of communication with candidates (from invitation, through reminders, to feedback), which is a great convenience for the recruitment department and saves time.

Personalized and automated feedback on game performance and competency assessment that each candidate receives.

A version of the game that allows for future language adaptations.

And last but not least: protection against cheating! Both technical and procedural.

The effects that Allegro has achieved

Improving the effectiveness of the candidate selection process and attracting the right people to work in the CX department → applicants with the highest level of competency matching to the position are invited to the final stage of the process (interview).

A more fair assessment process (skill-based hire).

Increase candidate engagement in the recruitment process and increase their satisfaction thanks to an innovative and user-friendly tool.

Enabling extensive process analytics and metrics management.

Replacing the tedious, lengthy and ineffective CV analysis process with a reliable and accurate psychometric tool that allows you to quickly and efficiently recognize talents at the very first stages of the process.
